Event Overview
The 8th Taiwan Model Show is a must-attend event for the Asian modeling community, led by experienced model creators. It’s a great opportunity for both local and international model enthusiasts and professionals to gather at the Taipei Expo Dome. This year, alongside the main event at the Dome, the Fashion Pavilion will feature an outdoor living area displaying a variety of military-related products.
Competition Categories
Adult Category: For participants at or above university level.
- Military Vehicles: Includes military-use wheeled, tracked, and soft-top vehicles, artillery, and land-based missile platforms.
- Naval Models: Military and civilian ships, submarines, and all kinds of sea vessels with onboard weapons.
- Jet Aircraft: Military jet aircraft.
- Propeller Aircraft: Military helicopters and propeller planes.
- Historical Realism Figures: Historically accurate human figures.
- Dioramas: Military and non-military scenes—modern, historical, sci-fi, or retro.
- Civilian Models: Non-military cars, motorcycles, trains, and architectural models.
- Sci-Fi Models: Japanese and American robots, and spacecraft from sci-fi films, TV shows, and anime.
- Creative Models: No limits on themes, including hand-sculpted or 3D-printed models.
- Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Wargaming, and Anime Figures: Includes anime figures and wargaming pieces.
- Chibi Figures: Q-version (chibi) characters.
- Monster Models: Creatures and monsters.
Youth Category: Open to middle and high school students with valid student IDs.
Children’s Category: Open to elementary students (up to 6th grade), with no restrictions on themes. Children must be accompanied by a guardian or teacher.
Event Highlights
- Bigger and Better: This year, we’re expecting 702 participants (excluding overseas entries), with a total of 1,216 works submitted. Over 90 professional judges from around the world will participate, making this one of the largest and most impressive competitions yet!
- Amazing Prizes: Thanks to our generous sponsors, we’ll be offering a wide variety of prizes, including tickets to international competitions, encouraging talented creators to aim for global recognition.
- Brand Exhibitions: Nearly 100 model-related brands and stalls will be showcasing the latest and coolest products. The outdoor living zone at the Fashion Pavilion will also offer military-related items for sale.
Event Details
As the title sponsor, Cartell Chemical will set up a “Cartell Model Emergency Station” to offer live product demonstrations and hands-on experiences, allowing model creators to get a closer look at our top-tier adhesive products. Additionally, we’re sponsoring the grand prize winner’s air ticket to an international competition, underscoring our strong support for the model-making community.
At the 2023 7th Taiwan International Model Competition, Cartell Chemical’s cutting-edge technology was widely used in model creation, providing creators with greater freedom throughout the modeling process. This year, we’re continuing to drive innovation and help model enthusiasts realize their creative dreams.
