After only three rounds of the competition, Wei-Ling Hsu relied on her solid performance to tie for sixth place with a total score of 10 strokes below the standard. After the first two rounds,Wei-Ling Hsu and another Taiwanese player Ssu-Chia Cheng were tied for third place with a total score of 8 strokes below par, only 2 strokes behind the leader, showing their strong ability to compete for the championship. Swedish player Linnea Strom came out of nowhere and scored an astonishing 60, setting a record for the lowest final-round score among winning players in the history of the LPGA.
