Corporate Interview with《Model Art Modeling Magazine》Part 2 — Cartell Chemical's MXBON: Innovating Adhesives for the Hobby Model Market featured-en

Continuing Our Deep Dive into Specialized Adhesive Solutions

In the first part of our interview with Cartell Chemical, we explored the company’s background, its entry into the hobby model market, and its innovative product lines. In this second part, we delve deeper into the technical aspects of their adhesives and address common concerns among model creators.

At MXBON, the development of our products is grounded in rigorous research and testing. Our R&D team strictly adheres to ISO product testing standards, conducting comprehensive performance tests for each adhesive. These tests include evaluations of tensile strength, bonding strength, and compatibility with various materials. We ensure that our adhesives are effective across a wide range of substrates, including common materials like metals, wood, and plastics, as well as challenging materials such as PP (Polypropylene), PE (Polyethylene), and Teflon. This meticulous approach allows us to meet the diverse needs of users in various application scenarios, providing reliable bonding solutions for every project.

Proper handling and storage of adhesives are crucial for maintaining their effectiveness. For unopened MXBON adhesive products, we recommend storing them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Once opened, to prevent moisture from affecting the product’s performance, it’s advisable to store the adhesive in a sealed PP (Polypropylene) bag. If possible, storing the opened product in a refrigerator can effectively extend its lifespan and maintain the glue’s stability. These storage practices help keep the product in optimal condition, ensuring excellent bonding performance with each use.

Absolutely. Both Japan and Taiwan experience humid and variable climate conditions, which can impact adhesive performance. During the development of our products, we placed significant emphasis on weather resistance and stability to address the challenges posed by high-humidity environments.

Our LIGHT CURE CA can cure quickly within 3 seconds upon exposure to light, making it ideal for flexible operations in model creation, even in humid conditions. The LOW ODOR & BLOOMING CA features a special low-blooming formula that effectively prevents whitening (blooming) caused by humidity, thus maintaining the aesthetic quality after bonding.

Given Taiwan’s relatively harsh climate conditions, we’ve conducted extensive rigorous tests during product formulation and packaging material selection. This ensures that our adhesives’ performance remains unaffected in humid environments and extends the products’ shelf life. Therefore, we are confident that the MXBON series adhesives can meet the storage and performance challenges of Japan’s humid climate, offering consumers reliable and durable bonding solutions.

Improper use of UV lamps can pose serious health risks, particularly to the eyes. Direct exposure to UV light or looking directly at the UV source for prolonged periods can cause eye damage. It’s crucial to use UV equipment responsibly to protect your health.

Our LIGHT CURE CA utilizes quick-curing technology, which differs from traditional UV acrylic adhesives that require long exposure times under UV light. Our adhesive can be cured using general low-energy UV lamps with significantly reduced exposure times—curing in just 3 seconds. This greatly minimizes the need for users to be exposed to UV light sources for extended periods, thereby reducing the potential for eye damage.

We recommend always wearing appropriate protective gear, such as UV-blocking safety glasses, when using UV lamps, even with our rapid-curing products. Safety should always be a priority during any adhesive application process.

Our MXBON product series centers on innovative technology and targeted product development, aiming to provide an exceptional user experience for modelers and industry professionals.

  • High-Performance Standard Low Odor Low Blooming Adhesive: Utilizes a safe and stable low-odor, low-blooming formula, effectively preventing whitening during the bonding process. The precision applicators (including needle tips) and the bottle and nozzle design ensure precise and convenient operation.
  • Light Cure Cyanoacrylate Adhesive: Employs UV light-curing technology, offering rapid curing speeds, excellent strength, and compatibility with various materials. This advanced bonding process meets the complex demands of model production, allowing model makers to work with high precision and efficiency while supporting creative endeavors.

We continuously improve our products based on customer feedback to meet the ever-changing market demands. MXBON products are not just adhesives; they are trusted partners supporting your creative modeling success. We will persist in innovating and developing products that meet user needs, providing excellent solutions to model makers around the world.
