1. High-Performance Standard Low-Odor & Low-Bloom Instant Adhesive
● A versatile adhesive suitable for etched and metal parts.
2. Usage Tips
- When bonding delicate areas or flowing adhesive into seams, dispense a small amount onto masking tape and use a pointed tool (e.g., a toothpick) to apply the necessary amount. Removing the nozzle allows for dispensing a larger quantity.
- Pressing the side button of the bottle allows for drop-by-drop application, making it easy to perform spot bonding. For lightweight parts like etched components, a few drops are sufficient for a strong bond.
3. Bonding the Truck Bed and Tire Housings
The cab roof and seats are installed after painting. First, assemble the truck bed using the standard instant adhesive, ensuring proper alignment and no warping through trial assembly before bonding. The etched tire housings are folded and placed in position, with adhesive applied from the back. Be cautious of the amount to prevent it from seeping onto the front. If adhesive accidentally seeps into the gaps on the truck bed surface, removing it can be troublesome.
4. Bonding White Metal Parts
▲ The front mask, truck bed, and tires are made of white metal. Since the assembly results in a relatively heavy structure, secure bonding is essential to prevent detachment.
5. Tires and Axles
Tires are individually painted before installation, with burrs and other imperfections removed during surface preparation. The axles, represented by 0.6mm brass wire, are painted before installation, which may cause slight blooming in the surrounding areas. Partial repainting resolves this issue effectively.
1.Assembling the Heavy Truck Bed
▲ The truck bed is assembled from four parts into a box shape. During the preliminary stage, align and adjust the seams to ensure no issues occur during bonding. Instead of applying adhesive all at once, first spot-bond a few points to confirm the alignment, then use a toothpick to apply a small amount of adhesive into the seams.
2. Bonding the Tire Housings from the Back
▲ The etched tire housings are temporarily positioned, then bonded using standard adhesive from the underside of the truck bed, where the bonding area is larger and adhesive marks are less visible. Accurately determining where to apply adhesive is key to achieving a clean finish.
3.Metal Primer is Essential
● Before painting, apply a metal primer to the entire surface. In the example, “Kanpe Hapio” non-ferrous metal adhesion spray was used, with the spray button replaced by one from the “Mr. Color” spray series for more even application.
4.Paint Every Detail Thoroughly
● The body and interior parts were painted separately with distinct colors. After sufficient drying, assembly was performed. To prevent blooming between painted surfaces, a water-based urethane adhesive was used.
5-1.Surface Preparation
To improve paint adhesion, the parts were cleaned and polished using a powdered cleanser before painting. After drying, “Kanpe Hapio” non-ferrous metal adhesion spray was applied. Since the included spray button dispenses too much and produces uneven mist, replacing it with a “Mr. Color” spray head from GSI Creos improves usability.
5-2.Main Painting
The body and truck bed (except for some parts) were painted block by block using an airbrush. Due to the lack of detailed reference material, “Mr. Color C314 Blue FS35622” from GSI Creos was chosen based on memory and reference images of the actual vehicle. After dividing the sections, enamel paint from Tamiya was used for detail work. Finally, the entire model was sprayed with “B503 Mr. Super Smooth Clear Matt,” known for its fine matte particles, to adjust the finish’s gloss.
1. Risk of Blooming Exists Even with Low-Bloom Formulas!
For bonding painted surfaces and clear parts, it is recommended to use water-based urethane adhesive to avoid blooming.
2.High-Grade Adhesive for Models
▲ A colorless and transparent water-based urethane adhesive that can bond plastic, metal, rubber, paper, and more. Many modelers prefer it for bonding clear parts and chrome-plated parts. Before curing, it can be wiped off using a cotton swab dampened with water. 20ml, priced at 616 yen.
3.Blooming is Highly Noticeable!
▲ Using instant adhesive on clear parts can cause blooming around the application area, but this can be prevented by using a water-based urethane adhesive.
- Copy the window cell template from the instructions, stick it to a 0.4mm-thick transparent plastic sheet using a glue stick, and cut it out.
- As the kit does not include lighting parts, Wave’s H-Eyes [3] mini-size parts were incorporated as substitutes.

The prefab shed was assembled using Umezoudo’s paper structure kit “1/80 Prefab Shed A” and weathered with Tamiya’s Weathering Master A set. Small items like old tires and trash bins were sourced from Echo Model parts.
